I've never had a 'fancy' tripod, so I have no idea how this compares. At best, I feel that the combination is a compromise solution. The K-M is smaller and lighter than the K20D, but whether it is well-suited to the Sprint Pro depends on the lenses used and how much stability you are expecting. As noted a few posts back, the Sprint Pro is pretty much ideal for a compact 35mm SLR or digital bridge camera. The professional Sliding Arm II is a universal mini-boom that works with almost any tripod that can have the head removed. Not compact enaugh to carry it around and not solid enaugh for the weight either (DSLR wobbles and if I lock it, it can move an inch so my flower shot is screwed).The Slik Sprint Pro is probably a better unit than the Velbon and might work OK with the K-M. Will it be any good (Slik Sprint Pro GM) for K-m with kit lens or lens that weight less than 500g (I have Pentacon 135/2.8 and Vivitar 2xMFTC + A50/1.7 - this combo is around 450g)? I have Velbon CX-560 (see image) now and I hate it.
